Backstop SMSR Gearbox

Leading Manufacturer of Backstop SMSR Gearbox in Gujarat

We manufacture a wide variety of Backstop SMSR Gearboxes and Cement Plant Gearboxes of numerous specifications and also customize them according to the requirements of our clients. These gearboxes feature a backstop mechanism that prevents the conveyor from reversing when it is abruptly stopped for any reason.

We are the leading Backstop SMSR Gearbox exporter and supply them to cities such as Hyderabad, Noida, Pune, Surat, and Kolkata for diverse industries such as cement industries, paper and pulp industries, iron and steel industries, textile industries, chemical industries, plastic industries, mining, etc.

Such gear boxes eliminate the constraint of foundations as well as couplings. Furthermore, there is no layout concern. These offer ideal and lasting alignment of the gearbox and allow the appropriate setting of the motor.

What Is a Backstop SMSR Gearbox?

The backstop SMSR (Shaft Mounted Speed Reducer) gearbox is defined as shaft mounted helical gearbox with a backstop device which is typically one way (sprag type) clutch which enables the rotation of the output shaft in both directions of work and immediate locking if it tries to rotate backward.

If the loaded inclined conveyor or bucket elevator stops, the weight can pull back. This is avoided through a backstop gearbox.

FAQs

Prevents the rotation of the shaft in the reverse direction if the motor stops, holding the load.

Rotation is allowed only in one direction. If there is an attempt by the shaft to rotate in the reverse direction, the clutch locks it.

The backstop SMSR gearbox is mostly used in inclined conveyors, bucket elevators, cement plants, mining, and steel plants.

Not necessary. It is installed directly on the driven shaft using torque arm.

Yes. Ratio, power, shaft diameter, and mounting can be customized as per the requirement.
